Oylum Boran is an interaction designer and creative technologist, from Turkey, currently living in New York City.
She is pursuing her master’s degree at Parsons Design + Technology, as a Fulbright grantee, expecting to graduate in Spring, 2012.
Her recent explorations include physical computing, ubiquitous computing, wireless/sensor based toys and learning tools, social media and mobile technologies. Her main interest is to utilize social media and new technology to raise awareness in the issues of sustainability, environment and education. She’s a member of the winning team “Gardenista” of 2011 Urban App Incubator Competition in NYC, NY. She is happy to see the attempts of utilizing mobile technologies to trigger social change is appreciated by professionals of Mobile World and she is determined pursuit this goal.
